Known as the world’s first-ever cloned camel, Injaz was born in Dubai on April 8, 2009. Injaz’s real mother was killed in an accident in 2005, but scientists saved the DNA and injected it into an empty egg cell (卵细胞) of Injaz’s new mother. With camel racing being big business in Dubai, such a breakthrough means a lot.
