Auniqueopportunityforyourchild (aged12to16years) togobehindthescenesat Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens. Your child willget the chance to gain practicalexperience ofworkingwithourvariedanimalsandmeetsomeofthekeeperswholookafterthemonadaily basis. Your child will work with one keeper in a groupof up to 4 children.
TheTraineeKeeper Day willrunfrom9:00amto3:00pmandwillincludeactivitiessuchas muckingout (打扫畜栏)and feedingsomeoftheanimals,aswellaslearningabouttechniques we use to make sure ouranimals are kept well.
Thecostperchildis £160andtheywillbegivenacertificateasasouveniroftheir fantastic day.
Youwillneed toprovideweatherproofclothingsuitableforwearingoutdoorsin sometimesmuckyconditionsandstrongfootwearsuitable forwearinginmuddyconditions. We willprovideyourchildwithotherprotectiveclothingheneedstouseduringtheday,suchas specialkeepervests and gloves.
Isitdangerous?Franklyspeaking,workingwithany animalalwayscarriesadegreeofrisk, but the participants will be fully inform ed of whatthey should and should not doin any situation. Besides, theywillbe fullymonitored atalltimes, and allnecessaryprecautions willbe taken. So far, no accidenthas occurredto the participants.
