At the beginning of every new year, it is very typical __1__ (make) new years resolutions.However, do they really work?

Personally, I dont think so.Firstly, it is great to start the new year with good __2__ (intend) and a positive attitude, as it can bring more hope and happiness to the start of your year.However, when life __3__ (be) back into full flow of routine and normality after January, the perseverance (毅力) of __4__ (write) a diary for example can wear off.

Secondly, we often choose the most unrealistic goals as resolutions under the false assumption that we can just be a(n) __5__ (complete) different person in the new year.In reality, changes happen in small steps over time, so why __6__ take a step back and think of something we can benefit from?
