LIM College’s new and improved Summer Fashion Lab is a pre－college program that offers students the opportunity to study fashion at the college level, visit New York City, and experience a college devoted to the business of fashion.
Our Fashion Lab Programs are taught by the same industry professionals who teach our undergraduate and graduate students, but the courses are designed for high school students and are made to be interactive and fun, which makes the lab unique.
Here students have a variety of one－week credit and non－credit courses to choose from in June and July, as well as the opportunity to live in LIM’s Residence Hall. Non－credit courses begin from June 25 through July 27 and credit courses run from July 9 through July 27.
A typical day in Summer Fashion Lab involves students meeting for the class in the morning, having a lecture class followed by guest speakers from the fashion industry, field trips to fashion businesses and museums and/or some in－class projects and presentations！Students like to go out for lunch in the middle of the day and take in all that NYC has to offer.
Our participants come from all over the United States and other countries around the world. Last summer, nearly 400 students attended Summer Fashion Lab and about half of the students stayed in our Residence Hall. Our students are ambitious, bright, and interested in fashion whether it is a way to spend their summer or to potentially seek an education and career in fashion!
