资源简介
You may have heard the name Robin Li. He created Baidu, China's largest search engine in China. But, what do you really know about the 49yearold man?
Born in 1968, Li was the 4th of 5 children born to factory workers in Yangquan of Shanxi Province in northern China. Like most of the kids in the neighborhood, Li spent his childhood in hardships and lacked of better education. His mother, however, taught him to stay motivated (有目的的) for a better tomorrow. He grew up remembering his mother's words.
Li never forgot his mother's words and studied seriously. He cleared the entrance of Peking University and completed Bachelor of Science degree in library information management. He later completed a postgraduate course for computer science with a Master's Degree at the University of Buffalo, the State University of New York.
In the early stages of the development of search engines, Robin Li, as one of the earliest researchers in the world, created ESP technology and successfully applied it to the search engine.
At the end of 1999, Robin Li returned to China and founded Baidu. After years of effort, Baidu has become the most popular Chinese website in China, the largest Chinese search engine and the largest Chinese website.
Under the leadership of Robin Li, Baidu established one of the most impressive search engine technical teams in the world. Its management team, product design team, development team and maintenance (维持,维护) team are also among the best in China. Baidu brought a new possibility to the nation's search engine operating pattern and enabled more companies to share Internet achievements.
