资源简介

The lion dance is one of the most outstanding traditional folk dances in China.  It can date back to the Three Kingdoms period.  Regarding the lion as    __1__     symbol of bravery and strength, ancient people thought that it could drive away misfortune and protect people and  __2__ (they) farm animals. Therefore, lion dances are performed at important events,    __3__    (especial) the Lantern Festival, to drive away evil (邪恶) and pray for good fortune, __4__     (safe)  and happiness.

      Two highly­trained performers in a lion suit    __5__     (require)  in the lion dance.  One acts as the head and forelegs, and the other the back legs.  Under the guidance of a director, the “lion” dances  __6__    the beat of a drum. Proper hydration (补水) is vital to your athletic performance and health. To perform your best, it's helpful to learn how to drink enough before, during and after your workouts.

 __1__ You should aim to be fully hydrated within an hour of starting your workout because the act of drinking water only starts the hydration process.  It takes some time for water to reach all of the parts of your body that need hydration.  You can have around 8—12 oz.  of fluid (液体) 20 minutes or so before workouts.

     Once your workout has started, it's a good idea to continue drinking a little bit of water throughout. __2__ The common concern with hydration during workouts is that by the time you feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated (脱水的) enough to have slightly lower performance. You're not in danger or anything, but your training won't be of high quality.  __3__

     Athletes typically weigh in before and after practice and hydrate accordingly. This might sound strange.    __4__ For each pound lost during activity, drink at least 16 oz. of fluid.  Men may require more than women due to body size. __5__ But if you know you lose 1 pound of water weight during a class, you know for the future that you need to drink about 16 oz. of water after every class.

      Follow these guidelines to ensure that you are adequately hydrated before, during and after your workouts. Proper hydration will enable you to perform and feel your best.

AYou don't have to weigh yourself every time you work out.

BHere's everything you need to know about staying hydrated.

CYou should aim to drink 5 oz.  of fluid every 20 minutes or so.

DBut it's a good idea to know exactly how much water you have lost.

EDrinking water before you take physical exercise is of great importance.

FSo do your best to keep your water breaks regular before you actually feel thirsty.

GThe longer you exercise, the more important it is to drink the right amount of fluid.
