Grammar: Attributive clause
Learning aims:
1. Help students to grasp the rules of attributive clauses.
2. Use the relative pronouns: that, which, who, whom and whose correctly.
Learning Procedures:
Step I Lead-in
Show pictures to the students and ask the question ‘Which team won the match?’.
1) The red team (adjective)
2) The team in red (prepositional phrase)
3) The team who are wearing red (attributive clause)
Step II Introduction
1. An attributive clause modifies a noun in the same way that an adjective or prepositional phrase does. The noun it modifies is called an antecedent(先行词).
eg. The team who are wearing red
