People in Toronto can now enjoy the first phase (阶段) of Underpass Park, an extremely original and creative new public park.
Underpass Park is the largest park ever to be built under an overpass (立交桥) in Canada, and the first of its kind in Toronto. Located in the West Don Lands under and around the Eastern Avenue and Richmond overpasses, the park has transformed the abandoned and underused area into a bright, new, neighborhood space.
Constructed in two phases, the first completed sections of the park are between St. Lawrence Street and Bayview Avenue. Visitors can access it from River Street, south of King Street.
