【语法过关】although为连词，与though同样引导让步状语从句，意为“虽然，尽管”，（ while也有此含义）, 不能和but在同一句中使用，可以和yet, still连用。although与though也有区分：①even though中不能替换为although。②though可以用在倒装句中，用法同于as，但是although不可以。③though 可以用作副词，意为“然而”，常用于句末，用法同于even so. 后面的主句是强调句，结构为It is/was+被强调部分+that/who+剩余部分，其中去掉It is/was... that/who...,句子仍然完整，这也是判断强调句的标准。这个句型用来强调句子中除了谓语动词之外的成分。被强调部分是人时，既可以用that, 也可以用who, 其他情况只能用that. 如：
1. Although/Though he had a fever, he went on with the work. (做连词)
2. Even though the foreign student didn’t understand what the teacher was saying, he kept listening. (even though引导让步状语从句)
3. Child though/as he is, the boy knows much about the museums all around the world.
